Research Summary:

My research focuses on the gut-brain axis in Alzheimer’s disease. I use genome-scale metabolic modeling, flux balance analysis, and machine learning to simulate and explore cell-type-specific metabolism. By integrating single-cell RNA sequencing and metabolomics data, I predict shifts in in silico metabolic flux distributions. This systems-level approach reveals metabolic variability across cell types and physiological states, offering insights into tissue-specific functions and metabolic dysregulation underlying Alzheimer’s pathology.

Why did you choose to attend PULSe:

I chose PULSe because it offers a valuable opportunity to learn from diverse research groups across multiple disciplines. After speaking with senior students and faculty, I was impressed by the quality and impact of their research, as well as the supportive and collaborative environment they foster.

About Me: (Hobbies and Interests when not in lab):

Outside the lab, I enjoy cooking dishes from different cultures, which helps me unwind and explore creativity beyond research. I also like traveling, as it offers fresh perspectives and recharges my focus. Additionally, I enjoy spending time with dogs and cats—their playful energy is a great way to relax. These interests help me maintain balance and stay motivated in my academic work.
