Research Summary:

I am working with the Marburg virus matrix protein VP40, characterizing different mutations that arose as a result of serial passaging in mice. I am trying to elucidate the role of different domains of VP40 in the viral life cycle and identify critical residues that can serve as potential druggable targets in the future.

Why did you choose to attend PULSe:

I chose to attend PULSe because of the diversified research opportunities it offered. I could explore a variety of labs across departments before I joined my final lab, which enriched my grad school experience.

About Me: (Hobbies and Interests when not in lab):

I am a trained Kathak dancer. I also love to read, cook, travel and socialize with animals when I'm not in the lab.
