The Virtual Discover Purdue Experience invites talented juniors, seniors, and recent graduates to explore all that Purdue University has to offer—from anywhere in the world. This engaging online event is designed for exceptional students who may not otherwise have the opportunity to connect with Purdue’s vibrant academic community in person. Join us virtually to discover graduate programs, connect with faculty and current students, and take your first step toward a future at Purdue.

The College of Engineering will not be part of the virtual Discover Purdue event because they’re hosting their own Virtual Graduate Showcase designed just for prospective engineering students!

This virtual experience is open to anyone interested in learning more about graduate school and the admission process at Purdue University; however, you must first be nominated by your program of interest.

Frequently asked questions

  • Prospective students must be nominated by their program of interest before Friday, August 29, 2025.
  • Click here to go to the Purdue West Lafayette Graduate Program Heads, Chairs, Directors and Contact website. Scroll until you find the program you are interested in and click on it to view the graduate contact information.
  • No, there is limited space in the session, and only those who were nominated for the event will be eligible to participate.
  • Be sure to register for the event with the same email address that was used for your nomination and that the registration link was sent to. All other registration emails will be denied access to the event. If you are using the correct email address, please email gradinfo@purdue.edu.
  • Yes, as long as you participated in the entire Discover Purdue event. Be sure to indicate your attendance in your application by following the instructions provided during the event.
  • This will be explained during the event. On your application, there is a section selection on the left labeled ‘Additional Information’. Scroll down until you see the section called ‘Recruitment Programs’. In the dropdown, select ‘Discover Purdue’. As long as you attended the event, you will receive an application fee waiver. Please allow up to 72 hours after submitting the application for the waiver to be applied to your application.
  • Please allow 72 hours after submitting your application for the fee waiver to appear. If the waiver is still not reflected after that time, contact gradinfo@purdue.edu and include your full name and reference number.
  • The system will only grant you a fee waiver if you start your application using the same email address you used to register for the virtual event. If you started your application with a different email, please contact gradinfo@purdue.edu to request an update to your email information.
  • Unfortunately, we are unable to process a refund of the application fee once it is paid.
  • Please send an email to gradinfo@purdue.edu to indicate which application should receive the fee waiver, as it may only be used for one application.
  • These will be decided on a case-by-case basis. Please email ogrs@purdue.edu with your concern.
  • No, waivers may only be used once per recruitment program.
