Writing Sample – That clearly conveys the ability to communicate in written form, such as a final term paper, excerpts from an undergraduate or graduate thesis, or a published article for which the applicant is the sole author. Please limit writing sample to five (5) pages or fewer. (Residential only)

Cumulative Grade Point Average from most recently conferred undergraduate, graduate, or professional degree:
3.0 or equivalent (A=4.0)
Demonstration of a high level of competence in written communication as evidenced by a writing sample such as the academic statement of purpose, personal history statement, a prior thesis, a research paper, or other significant and personally written product
Personal and professional characteristics commensurate with success in academics in industry
