TOEFL: Internet-Based Test (IBT): Minimum Overall Required Score: 100
Minimum section requirements:

• Reading: 22
• Listening: 22
• Speaking: 28
• Writing: 22

TOEFL: Essentials: Minimum Overall Required Score: 9.5
Minimum section requirements:

• Reading: 9
• Listening: 10
• Speaking: 9
• Writing: 9

IELTS (Academic Module): Minimum Overall Required Score: 7.5
Minimum section requirements:

• Reading: 7
• Listening: 7
• Speaking: 7
• Writing: 7

NOTE: The Department of Speech Language and Hearing Sciences does not waive this requirement even if you have earned a degree within the past 24 months from an institution where English is the primary language of instruction. English proficiency test scores are required of all international applicants whose first language is not English.

• Cumulative Grade Point Average from most recently conferred undergraduate, graduate, or professional degree:
  • 3.0 or equivalent (A=4.0)
• Applications are submitted electronically, via the Communication Sciences and Disorders Centralized Application Service (CSDCAS) and via Purdue’s online application system. Recommendations are only required to be submitted through the CSDCAS application. 

• Cumulative Grade Point Average from most recently conferred undergraduate, graduate, or professional degree:
  • 3.0 or equivalent (A=4.0)
