  • We are only admitting students to the PhD program.
  • Please visit the Purdue University Application Fee website for information on waivers.
  • Please note that international students must complete the Purdue University Oral English Proficiency Certification (OEPT) to perform mandatory teaching assistant (TA) duties. A speaking score of 27 on the TOEFL iBT (8 on IELTS) will certify TA competence and avoid needing the OEPT.
  • International students at a US university may request a waiver from the testing requirement if their TOEFL/IELTS scores are older than two years. The request should be sent to the program contact.
