Sponsored Program Services

Sponsored Program Services (SPS) provides pre-award, contracting and post-award services to faculty and researchers regarding grant proposal submissions, award acceptance and account management. SPS pre-award staff members support the submission of high-quality proposals by preparing the budget, reviewing sponsor requirements, assisting with electronic submission systems and providing the institutional approval of proposals. SPS staff members also work with researchers to review and negotiate contracts and provide post-award services such as account setup, financial reporting, invoicing and compliance with sponsor requirements.

To better serve the needs of the research community at Purdue, Sponsored Programs Pre-Award Services is decentralized into five Pre-Award Centers located throughout the West Lafayette campus. Each center provides support to a college or group of colleges with one center devoted to Discovery Park proposal support. Other SPS staff members are located in Hovde Hall and Young Hall.
