Indianapolis is offering their own Pre-Medicine and Health pathway. This is a one-year program where students can explore majors and receive personalized guidance. During the first semester, all students in this program will take a 2-credit Exploratory Pre-Medicine and Health Course. This course is designed to help students identify a major to transition into such as Biology or Biomedical Engineering.

Pre-Medicine and Health will focus on 3 pillars:

  • Undergraduate research: Students are in the heart of Indianapolis and have access to extensive healthcare networks and health related research.
  • Clinical experiences: Current programs include (IN)SCRIBE and Clinical Immersion options
  • Leadership development: Health related student organizations include Biomedical Engineering Society, BioForge, and Purdue in Indianapolis Medical Association - PiMed
