Acknowledging the Purdue University Fire Department on International Firefighters' Day

Every year on May 4, we celebrate International Firefighters' Day and honor the brave men and women of the Purdue University Fire Department (PUFD) who protect our campus community and ensure our safety. These firefighters, paramedics, and emergency medical technicians (EMTs) have outstanding qualities that make them essential members of our community.

The PUFD shows courage and heroism in dangerous situations, working together as a team to handle incidents effectively and efficiently. They show care and kindness to those in need during emergencies, while adapting and coping with various scenarios. Moreover, they are committed to education and prevention, promoting a safe and conscious environment on campus. Their skill and professionalism guarantee the best service for the Purdue community.
