Operations And Maintenance

Operations and Maintenance is responsible for the maintenance and stewardship of university features and facilities and consists of Central Shops, Teams and Zones Maintenance.

Central Shops

The Central Shops are made up of several different skilled trade areas. These include carpentry, welding, plumbing, cooling, heating, painting, masonry, electrical, equipment repair and more.

Zones Maintenance

Zones Maintenance is responsible for the maintenance of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, refrigeration and indoor air quality, indoor air handling systems, drinking fountains and classrooms.

Teams

Teams provide internal construction services for small projects typically valued at less than $100,000. The staff is made up of a number of skilled trades: carpentry, electrical, masonry and plumbing.

Maintenance, Repair and Operations Purchasing Requests

Materials expeditors are responsible for sourcing requests for maintenance materials and tracking departmental purchasing. Operations and Maintenance Storeroom maintains crucial inventory for operational needs for maintaining campus infrastructure.
