Fall 2023 Family Weekend Registration
Fall Family Weekend 2023 will take place September 15-17. Event information can be found on the Family Weekend website. Registration is now open to all Boilermaker Families for Family Weekend Events!
Family Weekend registration will close at 5:00 p.m. Eastern, Thursday, September 7th.

Fall Family Weekend Check-In
Family Weekend Check-In will take place in the France A. Córdova Recreational Sports Center (CREC), Black & Gold Gyms - enter at Northwest entrance by Rankin Track and Field Complex/CoRec Parking. Registered families and guests are to stop by Fall Family Weekend Check-In to pick up wristbands, purchased blankets, tickets for paid events, and learn about the PurdueGuide app. Families can also meet staff who can answer questions and share information.

Purdue Farmers Market continues through October
The Purdue Farmers Market continues every Thursday through Oct. 26 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Memorial Mall. The market features vendors selling a wide range of items, including hot food, fresh produce and delicious desserts. The campus community and public are invited to attend; visitor parking is available in the nearby Grant Street Parking Garage at hourly rates. Read more.

Purdue Convocations announces 121st season
Purdue Convocations recently announced its 121st season with a lineup of innovative projects and performances from around the world. The 2023-24 season will include the West Lafayette Global Fest; award-winning hip-hop, rock, folk, jazz and chamber musicians; an interactive wellness installation; thought-provoking lectures; family-friendly engagements; on-campus school matinees; and award-winning Broadway musicals and major attractions in Elliott Hall of Music.
Purdue announces new dean of the College of Science and other leadership updates
With the Fall 2023 semester set to start Monday (Aug. 21), Purdue University has announced several personnel updates to its leadership team, including the next Frederick L. Hovde Dean of the College of Science, senior vice presidents, the director of the Purdue Institute for Cancer Research and the vice president for communications. Read more.
What is the Purdue for Life Foundation?
Purdue for Life — created in 2020 by uniting the Purdue Alumni Association and the University Development Office — helps people who love Purdue stay connected, get involved and give back. The foundation drives and coordinates all alumni-related activities and works with alumni, friends and fans to garner support for the university.

UR Room Ranked Contest 2023
As students move into their housing space, they’ll probably be thinking of all the ways to make it a campus home. Will the room show off their Purdue pride? Or maybe it’s their well-being oasis? Whichever way they decide to decorate, we’re prepared to reward their creativity. University Residences is holding its annual “UR Room Ranked” decoration contest in 2023, so remind students to consider a theme as they purchase items for their room. Entries will be accepted beginning in August. More information and official rules are available here.

New Online Mental Health Resource Available
A new web and app-based mental health resource became available to all students, faculty and staff on July 1 courtesy of Purdue Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS).
Therapy Assistance Online (TAO) will offer free, confidential well-being resources to all students, faculty and staff on the West Lafayette campus. TAO is a self-guided program informed by psychotherapy research and strategies that provide assistance to help overcome anxiety, depression and other concerns. TAO provides accessible and effective resources including short videos, brief exercises and self-reflection tools.
“Everyone on campus can benefit from this,” says Chris Hanes, director of CAPS. “TAO gives our community a wealth of resources they can refer to students while simultaneously giving students a variety of tools for self-help. Students can meet access the app at their convenience and complete exercises, reflect, track moods, journal and more.” Read more.

Purdue Homecoming, September 29-30
Join alumni and friends on Saturday, September 30, by visiting Boilermaker Boulevard, time-to-be announced. Located in the heart of campus, Boilermaker Boulevard provides the perfect opportunity to visit tents hosted by many of the colleges, schools and units at Purdue for activities and family fun. Then be at Ross-Ade Stadium to cheer the Boilermakers on to victory against Illinois. Read more.
