There are a lot of factors that go into selecting the date for Fall Family Weekend. First, we look at the home football schedule, as we like being able to include a home football game into the weekend. Then, we look at weekends that will not conflict with a break. As a result, we have a limited number of fall weekends to select from. Spring Family Weekend dates will align with Purdue's Spring Fest.
Parent & Family Connections announced the dates for both Fall Family Weekend and Spring Family Weekend by early June. An email save the date will be sent to all families subscribed to communications from the Parent & Family Connections portal, and information was also be posted to the Parent & Family Connections website.

When will I learn about events for Family Weekend?

The Fall Family Weekend Website will launch in early August, the Spring Family Weekend Website will launch in late February. Once launched, an update will be sent to all families subscribed to communications from the Parent & Family Connections portal, and information was also be posted to the Parent & Family Connections website.

Will my student have classes on Friday and Saturday of Family Weekend?

The University does not cancel classes during Family Weekend. If your student normally has classes on Friday and/or Saturday, then they will have classes on the Friday and/or Saturday of Family Weekend.
