Leadership and Professional Development Boilermakers have a strong tradition of leadership in their careers and communities. Learn how to tap into your own strengths as you become the next generation of leaders with steps to initiative, guidance and direction. 
Impact—Every Boilermaker strives to leave their footprint and world-changing examples can be found throughout Purdue’s rich history. Learn the importance of creating an impact through your everyday actions with steps to modify, touch and influence. 
Networks A strong network serves as a resource throughout your life. The tightest networks are created by connections with individuals and require active participation. Learn how to build your network with steps to making connections and bonds. 
Grit Life is full of ups and downs. Learn strategies to tap into your inner fortitude to overcome challenges and become your best Boilermaker with steps to resolve and character.



Mental Health Awareness Week Image


This virtual event focuses on 2020 Mental Health Action Week and highlight the  Steps to Leaps Pillar of  Well-Being. Mental Health Action Week (MHAW) is a campus-wide initiative started by Purdue Student Government (PSG) and Purdue Graduate Student Government (PGSG) during the spring semester 2020. MHAW is dedicated time for students, faculty, staff, and administrators to come together to destigmatize the topic of mental health and work together to create change. The overall mission of the week is to cultivate a community of care by taking action towards meaningful mental health and well-being systems, practices, and processes that allow members of our community to thrive.

Career & Professional Development


This virtual event focuses on career and professional development resources, experiences, and opportunities for students while highlighting the  Steps to Leaps Pillars  of Leadership & Professional Development and Networks. Panelists will join us from  Career Success , the  Office of Undergraduate Research Purdue Study Abroad , and  Leadership Programs  to provide helpful information for families supporting students as they seek to further their career and professional development.

Student Support Services -  Representatives from the Dean of Students Office, along with Counseling and Psychological Services will be providing information on Student Support Services.

Student Engagement and Involvement -  Representatives from Recreation and Wellness, Club Sports, Student Activities and Organizations, and Purdue Student Union Board will be providing information on Student Engagement & Involvement.

Career & Professional Development


University representatives provide information on surveillance testing, Protect Purdue Health Center, COVID-19 Vaccines, Academics and Student Life for fall 2021.


Representatives from the Office of the Dean of Students, Recreation and Wellness, and Counseling and Psychological Services will be providing information for families on support resources available throughout fall 2021 for student well-being.



University Residences leadership provides information for families who have continuing students currently living on campus who are interested in living on campus for 2022-2023. Panelists will discuss the benefits of living on campus, the assignments and re-contracting processes, facilities, dining and residential life.
