Fall Family Weekend

Online registration will open in late August

Registration is required to participate in Parent & Family Weekend events. Your registration fee helps make this special Purdue tradition possible. Each registered guest will receive a Family Weekend wristband, which provides access to a variety of events and exclusive discounts from our community partners.

As a self-supported program, Parent & Family Weekend is made possible through the support of participating families. Registration fees help cover the many behind-the-scenes elements that bring the weekend to life, including registration services (online and onsite), event materials, facility rentals, staffing, and other operational expenses.

We are grateful for your partnership in creating a memorable experience for Purdue students and their families. Your participation helps strengthen the Boilermaker community and ensures that Parent & Family Weekend continues to be a meaningful tradition for years to come.

Thank you for your engagement and support. If you are unable to join us this fall, we hope to welcome you to Spring Family Weekend, April 16–18, 2027.

Please note that registration fees, merchandise, and social events are non-refundable.

$2 from each household registration fee will be donated to the Greatest Needs Fund to help students flourish and empower the next generation of Boilermakers to lead, grow, and become lifelong learners. Your contributions enhance the Purdue experience for all.

Free Family Weekend t-shirts will be available for Indianapolis registrants at the Indianapolis check-in location.

West Lafayette registrants can pick up their t-shirt by showing their wristbands at the University Book Store.

VIP: The Vertically Integrated Projects (VIP) Program provides an opportunity for undergraduate students to earn academic credit while engaging in authentic and extended research and design projects related to active research areas of Purdue faculty members and national, international and industry-sponsored design challenges. Students can participate on interdisciplinary and vertically integrated teams (first year through seniors) with faculty and graduate student mentors for multiple semesters to address these real-world research and design challenges.

With more than 250 acres of green space just minutes from the Purdue University in Indianapolis campus, White River State Park is the perfect getaway to visit during Family Weekend.

The park is home to seven world-class attractions, including the Eiteljorg Museum, Everwise Amphitheater, IMAX Theater in the Indiana State Museum, Indiana State Museum, Indianapolis Zoo, NCAA Hall of Champions, and Victory Field. 

 Purdue students receive free or discounted opportunities to several park attractions:
