Recreation & Wellness will be offering the student guest pass rate to all family members on daily guest passes when participating with your student. You must show your Family Weekend wristband and purchase your pass in person at the CoRec Member Services Desk and your student must be with you when you purchase the pass. Just imagine a delicious and nutritious recipe with only five ingredients…

This cooking demonstration focuses on preparing quick, easy, and affordable meals with minimal ingredients. Recipes include Grilled Bruschetta Chicken, Cinnamon Roasted Sweet Potatoes, Roasted Parmesan Green Beans, and Sautéed Apples with Granola.

The Demonstration Kitchen strives to make cooking accessible to everyone, by demonstrating delicious recipes and menus that are quick, easy and affordable. Our Student Cooking Instructors will provide you with nutrition information, culinary techniques, and food sanitation guidelines. You will also have the opportunity to sample the dishes prepared during the demonstration you attend.

Enjoy a movie (TBA) on Slayter Hill starting at approximately 9:00 p.m. (dusk). Bring a blanket or chair and enjoy a fun family movie on the hill. Each family weekend registrant will receive a coupon for popcorn and a drink (available until 10:30 p.m.)

Celebrate Family Weekend with Purdue Libraries by enjoying Mary Lou’s donuts and coffee, meeting Dean Beth McNeil, and taking a self-guided tour of the Wilmeth Active Learning Center (WALC)—one of the most popular buildings for student life on Purdue’s campus. Look for our table in front of WALC (or in the lobby if there’s inclement weather) .

Light refreshments will be served before a short introduction from the Dean and Associate Dean's in the College of Agriculture. This will be followed up with an opportunity to interact and introduce family members to each of the Department Heads and advisors in your speciality areas.
Neil Armstrong Hall of Engineering (ARMS) (indoor)

Faculty, instructors, and academic advisors are excited to welcome First-Year Engineering (FYE) students and their families to the Neil Armstrong Hall of Engineering. School of Engineering Education faculty and instructors will host 20-minute presentations in B061 and B098, featuring a special message from Interim Dean Lundstrom. Participants will learn more about the program, including the scholarly research-informed learning objectives, career exploration opportunities, and the tools that students will utilize to prepare them for their engineering careers.

100 tickets per presentation, per classroom: Tickets are first-come, first-serve. Check-in for ticket information and availability at the FYE table located near the elevators outside of the EPICS office on the first floor.

Learn how wolves communicate through their “trademark” behavior – the howl, and through body language. Wolf Park staff members will join the wolves midway through the program to demonstrate how our animal curators communicate with our wolves using positive reinforcement training and reading body language.
