Dear Boilermaker,
With finals quickly approaching, you're likely managing multiple deadlines, priorities, and expectations. But did you know that finding time to rest and re-charge can actually help you stay focused as you head toward the finish line of your first semester?
Make note of your remaining assignments and exams
It can be difficult to figure out how to balance remaining school demands with our other obligations. To help you feel more balanced, make sure you have written down all your remaining assignments and exams. Knowing that summer break is coming up can be great motivation to get an assignment completed.
Visit the Helen Bass Williams Academic Success Center website to to register for a workshop on creating your finals game plan and explore other strategies and handouts to boost your study skills.
Make time to do things you enjoy
Taking time to relax, and making a list of things you would like to do is way to be intentional about your schedule.
Make plans to see friends or Facetime with relatives. Whether you prefer to be at the gym, painting, or watching movies, aim to spend some time each day doing things that make you feel good.
Most importantly, make time to rest, relax, and have fun!
