Orientation Programs Team Leaders

The Team Leader position is an entry-level leadership role that supports the mission and vision of Orientation Programs, Student Success Programs, and Purdue University. Team Leaders work to create an inclusive environment that enhances the growth and development of new students. The mission of Orientation Programs is to introduce and connect all new undergraduate students to Purdue University through student and staff led academic and social programming to prepare them for their Purdue experience.

All Team Leaders are responsible for actively participating in Team Leader Trainings, events, and programs throughout the Spring semester as well as providing support to new students during the week of Boiler Gold Rush International and Boiler Gold Rush.

West Lafayette and indianapolis team leader requirements

Application

  • The Team Leader application will open on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, and will close Sunday, February 15, 2026 at 11:59 PM EST. The application can be found at https://purdueorientation.erezlife.com/ See the steps below on how to apply.

  • Go to https://purdueorientation.erezlife.com/

  • Select “job postings”

  • Click the “2026 Team Leader Application”

  • Click the “Apply now” button

  • Complete the “Question sections”

    • You will be able to save the application and return toit later.  

    • Make sure every section has a green check box next to it before you submit.

  • Submit your application

Team Leader August Return Dates  

Team Leaders who live in University Residences for Fall 2026 will be provided early move in for housing. Team Leaders living off-campus will need to arrange their move in to return by the dates below. All Team Leaders selected for Boiler Gold Rush 2026 will need to return to their respective Indianapolis or West Lafayette campus by the following dates:  

  • Team Leader International Move in: August 10 (if selected for TLi)

  • Team Leader International Training begins August 11 (if selected for TLi)

  • Team Leader Move in: August 11

  • Team Leader Training begins August 12

West lafayette callout information

We are holding callouts for those interested in becoming Team Leaders in West Lafayette. Please note that callouts are not required (but are highly recommended). If you are unable to attend, it will not affect your ability to be a Team Leader. Please email  bgrsoc@purdue.edu  with any questions you may have, and our staff will get them answered. 

The Team Leader Callouts in West Lafayette will be happening at these times: 

  • Tuesday, January 20 from 6:00-6:45 pm in PHYS 223 

  • Monday, January 26 from 6:00-6:45 pm in MATH 175

  • Wednesday, February 4 from 6:00-6:45 pm in WTHR 172

  • Thursday, February 12 from 6:00-6:45 pm in RHPH 172 

indianapolis callout information
