BGR Student Orientation Committee
The Student Orientation Committee (SOC) serves as the student face of Orientation Programs, and works to create a good experience for new students, their Team Leaders, their Team Supervisors, and full time staff members on campus.

The SOC Chair position is designed to have an undergraduate student leader work cohesively with a team of peers to facilitate the vision and mission of Orientation Programs’ student staff for the upcoming academic year. This role is the “face” of Orientation Programs, for the student leaders that are part of it, and a liaison to the Professional Staff that will interact with this student throughout the year. Their relationship is built early on with Professional Staff, and is critical to the success of the SOC. This year's SOC Chair is Kendall DeVault.
Recruitment Committee
The Recruitment Committee is responsible for the coordination of all student leader recruitment processes, creating callouts, designing interviews, and implementing recruitment strategies throughout the year.

Retention Committee
The Retention Committee creates initiatives that aim to retain Orientation Programs student leader positions at each level. These initiatives prioritize student leaders' sense of belonging and support within Orientation Programs while retaining them through the full year’s cycle as student leaders and into their alumni experience.

Orientation Initiatives Committee
The Orientation Initiatives Committee is responsible for coordinating diversity, inclusion, and belonging training and awareness and the development and implementation of FreeZone. They work to create a culture of vulnerability and storytelling.

Training and Development
The Training & Development Committee is responsible for training all levels of student staff in Orientation Programs throughout the course of the year. They work to create useful and engaging training that focus on leadership skills, collaboration, and having some fun.
