Respondus LockDown Browser and Respondous Monitor
Respondus LockDown Browser is a specialized Web browser that secures a student’s computer by preventing access to other browsers, chat programs, and other applications during an online exam.
Respondus Monitor is an optional feature of Respondus LockDown Browser that enables capturing a student’s audio, video, and screen as they complete an exam. This resulting capture will go through an automated review process where any uncertain activity is flagged for instructor review. If you require Respondus Monitor for an exam, students will need a webcam and microphone to complete the exam.
The Respondus LockDown Browser software is available for both Windows and Mac computers. There is no cost to instructors or students for the use of either product. Many PUIT computer labs are also equipped with this software.
