Developing Inclusive Attitudes Toward the Classroom

Resources in Foundational Concepts focus on core underlying values and principles involved with inclusive pedagogy, particularly the proactive construction of learner-centered teaching environments that provide every student with the opportunities and resources appropriate for maximizing their potential.

In each of the topic pages, you will find a brief overview of a particular concept followed by some example practices and tips, and questions for self-reflection. The Inclusive Pedagogy Foundational Concepts series has tips and practices designed to be easy to implement in a variety of contexts. After completing this series, you will find more details and practices specific to individual teaching situations and course types in Applications in Specific Contexts. Finally, we are working to develop an interactive program to support you delving deeply into your own teaching approaches, values, and practices, resulting in a certificate and participation in the ongoing community of practice. This series will be available in 2023.
