Foundations of Teaching Excellence

In 2019, Provost Akridge charged the Teaching Academy with defining teaching excellence and creating a cultural shift to ensure that teaching excellence is understood, supported, and valued by the Purdue faculty, instructors, and community across the West Lafayette campus. This work was part of the Provost’s Roadmap for Transformative Undergraduate Education initiatives.  Following a multi-year process, the Teaching Academy created the Framework for Teaching Excellence, with three foundational and two advanced pillars supporting the framework.
