A Virta tattoo? Why Anne got Virta’s logo tattooed on her arm
If your A1c is high, it is not recommended to get a tattoo, or even some medical procedures, due to the high risk of infection, kidney problems, and heart problems. Virta helped Anne drop her A1c nearly 4 points, so after 2 years on Virta she wanted to do something special. Anne said that she got a tattoo of the Virta logo with a Buddhist symbol for inner peace inside as a tribute to “an organization and health philosophy that changed my life”.
“Undoubtedly, Virta has saved and changed my life in multiple capacities.” - Anne

Before Virta, Anne was taking multiple diabetes medications, but her health still kept getting worse. Her doctor told her that she was likely to die from a heart attack because of her high A1c and weight, and that she would need to start taking insulin and statins. When Anne asked if there was another option that didn’t involve taking more medications, her doctor recommended Virta.
Anne had tried it all before - Weight Watchers, Atkins, starving herself - but Virta was different. Virta empowered Anne and taught her how to treat her diabetes. After 2 years, Anne has lowered her A1c nearly 4 points, got off all of her diabetes-specific medications, and finally developed a healthy relationship with food.
“I know I can sustain this for the rest of my life because I feel so much better, both physically and mentally.” -Anne
