The Purdue University Fire Department offers American Heart Association courses in CPR/AED training.

This CPR training is an American Heart Association (AHA) Friends and Family course. This training will include CPR for adult and children, choking and the use of the AED defibrillator. It is for people who want to learn CPR but do not need a CPR course completion card to meet a job requirement. BLS class is a special request and can be handled on each request basis. No certification cards will be given. This class takes place at Dement Fire Station, 1250 Third St, West Lafayette, IN, 47907. A/B/C permit parking is available at the CoRec.

AED Training Only

If a department or group already has personnel trained in CPR and only wishes to have AED training, then the Purdue University Fire Department can provide an AED instructional class. This class can be held at any building or a reserved room, which will help accommodate the requested number of students in attendance. The class can take 30 minutes up to an hour. This is a popular class and scheduling is done through Lt. Kevin Luse with Fire Prevention.
