CPR and AED Training Courses

The Purdue University Fire Department offers American Heart Association courses in CPR/AED training.

CPR/AED

The Purdue University Fire Department provides free CPR and automatic external defibrillator (AED) training to interested faculty and staff. The course is approximately three hours long. Classes are held at the Purdue Airport Main Terminal (TERM) building in room 164E. This course is an American Heart Association (AHA) Friends and Family course. This training will include CPR for adult and children, choking and the use of the AED defibrillator. A/B permit parking is available in front of the building. Additional parking is available to the North of the train tracks in the designated visitor parking area. If interested, please click here.

AED Training Only

If a department or group already has personnel trained in CPR and only wishes to have AED training, then the Purdue University Fire Department can provide an AED instructional class. This class can be held at any building or a reserved room, which will help accommodate the requested number of students in attendance. The class can take 30 minutes up to an hour. This is a popular class and scheduling is done through Lt. Kevin Luse with Fire Prevention.
