About the Community
The Roger C. Stewart Leadership & Professional Development Department (LEAD) is partnering with Purdue University's alumni association - Purdue for Life - to create an online community dedicated to providing students with opportunities and resources in support of their career and leadership development.
We invite you to join this community! As a member you will have opportunities to engage with alumni, university faculty and staff, and your peers to:
- Extend your networks
- Develop your leadership and career readiness competencies
- Enhance your career knowledge
Specific opportunities include:
- Mentoring and coaching relationships
- Conversations
- Presentations and workshops
- Networking and social events
- Resource sharing
As and extension of our Essential Career Skills Series, we will also be hosting virtual "Coffee Chats" where you can ask questions and discuss various topics with guest speakers. These chats will be informal and interactive. Keep an eye on our social media for where and when these Coffee Chats will take place!
How to Join
Joining Purdue Ties is easy - just follow these quick steps:
- Create your account at https://purdueties.com/feed
- Wait to be approved by the site administrator. This will take approximately 24-48 hours.
- Finish setting up your profile.
- Begin networking with other Boilermakers.
NOTE: Users of the platform who previously signed up when it was called the Purdue Alumni Portal are asked to log in to Purdue Ties and update their profiles.
Once you have successfully created an account and logged into Purdue Ties:
- Click on "Communities" on the left-hand side
- In the Search bar, type in "Leadership & Professional Development"
- Click on the community, and then click "Join"
