About Purdue Testing Services (PTS)

Purdue Testing Services (PTS) provides comprehensive testing services that support Purdue students, instructors, academic departments, and the broader university community. Our primary role is to administer accommodated academic exams for students with approved testing accommodations in partnership with the Disability Resource Center (DRC). We work closely with instructors to implement their assessments in a secure, accessible testing environment while maintaining the integrity of the exam and providing approved accommodations.

More Than Accommodated Testing

In addition to accommodated academic exams, PTS provides testing opportunities that support academic advancement, professional certification, graduate education, and career development. Services include Purdue advanced credit exams as well as examinations offered through organizations such as Pearson VUE, ETS, and College Board. Current offerings include exams such as the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE), GRE, Praxis, CLEP, GMAT, Microsoft certification exams, and Purdue advanced credit examinations.

These services provide Purdue students and members of the surrounding community with access to credentialing, licensure, graduate admission, and credit-by-examination opportunities in a professional testing environment. PTS continues to evaluate its testing portfolio and capacity to respond to the evolving needs of the Purdue community.

Expanding to Indianapolis

Beginning Fall 2026, PTS is expanding operations to Purdue University in Indianapolis, extending centralized testing support across Purdue’s two primary locations. PTS Indianapolis will initially focus on accommodated academic testing, providing Indianapolis students and instructors with dedicated testing services for students with approved accommodations.

Our Mission

The mission of Purdue Testing Services is to serve instructors, students, and the greater Purdue community by providing testing services that support undergraduate advancement, graduate development, and professional accreditation. At the center of that mission is our commitment to supporting instructors and students throughout the accommodated testing process.

Our Commitment

PTS strives to provide responsive, high-quality testing services while serving as a trusted resource for the Purdue community. As testing needs continue to grow and our operations expand, we remain committed to:

  • Access — implementing approved testing accommodations in environments designed to support equitable participation.
  • Academic integrity — administering assessments according to faculty instructions and established testing procedures.
  • Partnership — working collaboratively with instructors, students, the DRC, academic departments, and other university partners.
  • Operational excellence — developing consistent, scalable processes that support increasingly complex testing needs.
  • Service — providing knowledgeable, timely support to the students, faculty, and community members who rely on PTS.
