About Purdue Memorial Union

Purdue Memorial Union (PMU) offers a wide range of reservable event spaces in the heart of campus. From meeting rooms and ballrooms to performance and gathering spaces, PMU supports meetings, programs and events for students, campus partners and guests.  

PMU Reservations

PMU Banquet Spaces

To book banquet spaces within the PMU (e.g., Anniversary Drawing Room, North Ballroom, South Ballroom, or Faculty Lounges), visit the Union Club Hotel Events webpage or stop by the office located in PMU Room 163 for more information.

Other PMU Spaces

Other PMU spaces are managed by Purdue Conference and Event Design (PCED) and are reservable through the Event Request System (EMS). For step-by-step guidance, visit the Request Event Space Instructions webpage. Assistance with event planning or coordination is available through Purdue Conferences and Event Design at events@purdue.edu or 765-494-8911.

PMU is a conference and meeting facility designed to support student organizations, campus departments, university‑affiliated groups and external organizations hosting meetings, conferences and events on campus. 

  • Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs) may reserve PMU meeting spaces at no charge when requests are submitted one (1) semester in advance, subject to availability and policy compliance. Weekly reservations are available for a combined total of up to three (3) hours per week (Mon–Sun). Open booking dates are March 1 for Summer/Fall and October 1 for Spring. Requests for setups outside the standard configurations may be subject to additional fees. 
  • University‑affiliated groups, external organizations and conference clients may request PMU spaces with planning and coordination support provided by PCED. Rates, availability and services vary by space, service level and event type.

Catering

  • Catering services for events held in PMU are provided exclusively by Union Club Hotel (UCH) and Purdue Food Co., based on event location. 
  • UCH has exclusive catering rights for PMU banquet spaces while Purdue Food Co. has exclusive catering rights for event spaces located on the ground floor. 
  • For catering in PCED managed spaces of the PMU, organizers can utilize UCH or Purdue Food Co. 

AV Services

PCED managed PMU Spaces
  • Basic audio/visual services are available for events and are coordinated through PCED as part of the event request process. Standard AV services include sound system, screen, projector and a wireless microphone. 
  • Standard AV services are provided for a daily fee. Additional equipment or specialized AV needs may be available upon request and are subject to availability and additional charges.
UCH managed Banquet Spaces 
  • Audio/visual services for PMU spaces managed by UCH are coordinated through the UCH Events team. Many banquet and meeting spaces are equipped with built‑in sound systems and presentation capabilities, and on‑site event managers assist with AV planning and execution. 
  • AV options, technical capabilities and support vary by space. Details are reviewed as part of the UCH booking and event planning process.
