Boiler Game Mine is Purdue’s on‑campus esports and gaming facility, located in the Purdue Memorial Union Basement. The space offers PC and console gaming, esports competition and casual play in a welcoming environment for beginners and experienced gamers alike.

Whether stopping in between classes or planning a group experience, Boiler Game Mine provides a social, interactive space at the heart of campus.

Group experiences may include: 

  • Reserved gaming time 
  • Access to select gaming stations 
  • Customized event support, based on availability

Facility Guidelines 

  • This Esports environment and network is not configured to be PCI compliant for credit card purchases by Purdue. It is recommended to make credit card purchases from your personal device for use in this Esports environment. 
  • Games offered on the computers must be owned; free games are available for those with accounts. Any games not preinstalled may be downloaded if the game is owned. 
  • Owned peripherals may be used on the computers, but existing peripherals must be plugged back in after use. 
  • Children under 13 years of age must be accompanied by an adult during game play at all times. 
  • All beverages must be sealed with a lid. 
  • No food allowed. 

Reservation and Events Terms and Conditions 

  • Reservations cannot be made for Mon-Fri (10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) during academic classes in fall/spring. 
  • At least one adult must accompany groups consisting of minors. 
  • No food or drink from outside of the PMU will be allowed, unless approved by management in advance. 
  • Approved caterers for the space are Purdue Food Co. and the Union Club Hotel. 
  • Food changes or additions are required a minimum of 10 days before the event. 
  • Changes to or cancellation of your reservation can be made up to 48 hours in advance. 
  • Please arrive no later than the time of your reservation. Your reservation will only be held for up to 15 minutes after its scheduled start time. 
  • Payment is due the day of your reservation.

Known as one of campus’s long‑standing hidden gems, Union Rack and Roll is Purdue Memorial Union’s go‑to spot for bowling, billiards and HyperBowling. Located in the PMU basement, the space offers a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere for students, faculty, staff and guests. 

Whether stopping by for open play, weekly specials or a group gathering, Union Rack and Roll provides a fun place to connect and unwind at the heart of campus.

Bowling Parties at Union Rack and Roll: Union Rack and Roll offers bowling party options in a fun, inclusive setting. 

  • Bowling parties are designed for up to ten guests (five guests per lane). 
  • For parties with more than ten guests, it will be $5 per additional guest. 
  • For birthdays, a commemorative birthday pin is available for an additional $20.
  • Bowling Party packages are available on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Parties requested outside of these times will not be accepted unless approved by management. 
  • With the exception of cake and cupcakes, no food or drink from outside of the PMU will be allowed, unless approved by management in advance. 
  • Catering Information: 
    • If you are considering pizza for your reservation, please email Jonathan Anderson at anderson-jonathan@aramark.com. 
    • To place a catering reservation for food other than pizza, please contact Purdue Food Co. If you have questions about catering, please reach out to Julie Jeffery at jeffery-julie@aramark.com.

The Purdue Memorial Union Summer Concert Series is a free outdoor concert series on the PMU East Terrace, held Fridays in June and July (excluding week of July 4), welcoming the Greater Lafayette community to enjoy live music throughout the summer. Parking for visitors is available in nearby garages. After 5 p.m., visitors may park at no cost in non‑reserved permit spaces in the Wood Street Parking Garage. Paid visitor parking is also available in the Grant Street Parking Garage. Parking availability may vary based on campus events.
