
Who needs a flu vaccine?
Flu vaccines will be available for retirees age 65+ at the William H. Daniel Turfgrass Research and Diagnostic Center located at 1340 Cherry Lane, West Lafayette, as follows:
Friday, September 27 | 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. |
Friday, October 4 | 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. |
Monday, October 14 | 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. |
Drive-through flu shot options
Additionally, drive-through flu shots will be available at the Center for Healthy Living (CHL), located at 1400 W. State St., Building B, Suite C, on Purdue’s West Lafayette campus, and PURA members are welcome to utilize the drive-through.
Drive-through flu shots will be offered on the south side of the center, with both morning and evening time slots available for added convenience. The CHL drive-through flu shot schedule is as follows:
September 25 | 7-9 a.m. |
September 26 |
4-6 p.m. |
October 2 | 7-9 a.m. |
October 3 | 4-6 p.m. |
Vaccine information
The following vaccines will be available:
- Fluad Quadrivalent, which is designed for the 65+ population
- Flublok quadrivalent vaccine, which is designed to protect against four different flu viruses; two influenza A viruses and two influenza B viruses. It is approved for use in ages 18 years and older. It is preservative and egg-free.
- Fluzone quadrivalent vaccine, which is designed to protect against four different flu viruses; two influenza A viruses and two influenza B viruses. It is approved for anyone ages 6 months and older.
Other flu shot options
PURA members may also schedule with their respective medical provider or contact their local pharmacies.
