LiveHealth Online Psychology offers privacy and convenience when it comes to getting the care and support you need. LiveHealth Online Psychology lets you talk face-to-face with a licensed therapist or psychologist. A typical visit with a psychologist or therapist using LiveHealth Online Psychology is about 45 minutes. In most cases you can make an appointment within 4 days or less. LiveHealth Online will send you an email confirming your appointment. 

Beginning in 2018 LiveHealth Online will also offer Psychiatry services.

Through LiveHealth Online Psychiatry, receive medication management support when talk therapy alone isn’t enough: Psychiatrists can provide medication management support for common behavioral health conditions like: major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder and postpartum depression.

Psychiatrists on LiveHealth Online can prescribe non-controlled prescription alternatives in many situations. Common non-controlled prescriptions include:

Through LiveHealth Online Psychology, individuals 18 years and older can talk with a licensed therapist or psychologist who can help with many different matters, such as:

  • Stress
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Relationship or family issues
  • Grief
  • Panic attacks
  • Stress from coping with a sickness

Children age 10-17 can visit with a licensed therapist or psychologist who can help with things like:

  • Attention deficit disorder
  • Behavior challenges
  • Death or other stressor
  • Eating disorders
  • Adjustment difficulties
  • Coping with parental divorce
  • Developmental challenges

LiveHealth Online Psychology’s convenient, discreet, low cost options for mental health care complements Purdue's employee assistance counseling program (EAP), which is available via SupportLinc to employees on the West Lafayette campus.

LiveHealth Online counseling appointments are offered daytime, evening and weekends via online communication through computer, smart phone or tablet. Psychologists or therapists using LiveHealth Online cannot prescribe medications. Psychiatrists are not able to prescribe controlled substances through video visits.

Keep in mind that online counseling is not appropriate for all types of problems, and LiveHealth Online does not provide emergency services.
