Stages of Drug Discovery

From the design of new imaging probes and modalities to the development of biosensors for early disease detection, Purdue University has nationally-rated engineering and chemistry strengths in the development of cutting edge detection technologies.

Target Discovery

The discovery of the tyrosine kinase Syk, the development of powerful mouse models for pancreatic and colon cancer, and the mechanistic exploitation of the folate receptor, are examples of Purdue scientist uncovering novel targets for the treatment of disease.

Drug Design/Delivery

Purdue has over 40 drugs/agent in development with 17 currently in human clinical trials and the number keeps growing, reflection our strong focus on clinical outcomes.
