Colombian Student Association at Purdue (CSAP)

The Colombian Student Association at Purdue (CSAP) is a recognized member of Purdue's Students Activities and Organizations. CSAP is dedicated to promoting and sharing the Colombian culture at Purdue University and the Lafayette-West Lafayette area, as well as to the professional development of the Colombian academic community. CSAP organizes activities throughout the year such as the celebration of Colombia's independence day, the Annual Party, and offers two scholarships per term to active members, for participation in academic events.

  • Latino Cultural Center: established in 2003, the Purdue Latino Cultural Center enhances diversity through education and programming as well as provides a sense of "home away from home" among Latinos/as at Purdue. Examples of the year-round events at the Center include: service-learning and engagement projects, language appreciation and education, cultural entertainment, and poetry and professionalism workshops. Resources at the center also include an ITaP computer lab, a Latin American book library, a study room, a lounge area with bilingual cable options, and a conference room for meetings and planning student activities. More information.
  • Society for Hispanic Professional Engineers- Purdue Chapter (SHPE): The Purdue chapter of SHPE is part of a strong but independent network of professional and student chapters throughout the nation. Purdue SHPE's mission is:  "Leading, molding, and representing the Hispanic Community in the professional world while embracing the diversity of the Purdue community and providing an environment for personal and professional development and socializing."
  • Purdue University's Black Cultural Center: offers a wealth of programs and services for the entire campus community by bringing together the wonderful diversity of the Purdue family with the rich heritage of African American art, history, and culture. The center sponsors outstanding student performing arts ensembles in dance drama, choral music, and creative writing as well as offers a special collections library, a computer lab, and student organization office and meeting space. More information.
