Science Core Curriculum Policies

Using a Course to Meet Multiple Requirements

Students may apply one course to meet more than one requirement in their Major, Science Core and elective areas, as dictated by College and departmental policies. Allowing multiple applications of one course to degree requirements will vary between departments and degree programs.

The above policy does not apply if a course is listed on more than one of the following approved course lists: Great Issues, Culture/Diversity and General Education. While a course may be found on the approved course lists of some or all of the aforementioned core areas, it may be applied to only one requirement. Each student should contact his/her academic advisor to review his/her degree audit and determine which requirement the course will fulfill.
