The Northwestern Avenue Parking Garage is designated for attendees of home men’s basketball games. It remains available for the campus community during women’s basketball games.

Anyone entering the Northwestern Avenue Parking Garage after the designated times below on home game days — including those who have an “A” or “Student Garage” permit — will be required to pay event parking rates or provide a prepaid, digital athletic event parking permit to gain access. Those who are parked with an eligible university parking permit prior to the event rate time will not have to relocate.

Event parking in the garage generally begins at:

• 5 p.m. on game days during the week, with some games having restrictions beginning at 4:30 p.m.
• Three hours before tip-off for weekend games

Parking is restricted in the lots surrounding Ross-Ade Stadium, Mackey Arena and the Mollenkopf Athletic Center when home basketball games are scheduled. These lots will have “No parking” signs with effective times posted prior to the events. Vehicles must be removed from the lots prior to posted times or will be relocated at the owner’s expense. General relocation times are listed above but are subject to change. Select lots may become reserved in the days leading up to games. Signage posted in parking locations will be most current.

Men’s Games

The following parking lots and locations are unavailable for general parking during men’s basketball games at the times listed on lot signage:

A, AA, C, F, G, H (upper & lower), J*, K, M, N, P, Q, R, U, Y, Z, FB Staff, Ross-Ade Stadium ramps, Ross-Ade north plaza

*Relocations from the J lot begin at 7 a.m. on home men’s game days.

Women’s Games

The following parking lots and locations are unavailable for general parking during women’s basketball games beginning at the times listed on lot signage:

A, C, F, G, P, R, U, Y, Ross-Ade Stadium ramps, Ross-Ade north plaza

Any vehicles that are relocated during athletic events will be taken to the lot at the southwest corner of Harrison Street and South Russell Street. If this location becomes full, vehicles will be relocated to the gravel parking lots across from the Materials Management Distribution Center located at 700 Ahlers Drive, West Lafayette.

Faculty, staff and students who are on campus for business or academic needs leading up to or during athletic events are encouraged to seek alternate parking to avoid paying event rates. The following garages and lots will be open to eligible permit holders during business hours and do not require a parking permit in evenings or on weekends:

• University Street Parking Garage
• Wood Street Parking Garage
• Harrison Street Parking Garage
• All university parking south of Mitch Daniels Blvd.

Weekdays

To support business and academic needs during the week, eligible Purdue parking permit holders will be able to remain in one of the garages listed above with no event parking pass required, if parked prior to the effective time.

Individuals who do not have an event parking pass must vacate the parking lots by the required times or will be subject to ticketing and/or relocation. 

Weekends

For weekend events, posted parking restrictions must be followed at all designated garage and lot locations. Individuals without an event parking pass must vacate prior to the effective time or will be subject to ticketing and/or relocation at the owner’s expense.

Alternative Parking

Once Parking Operations staff are present at these locations, individuals will either need to pay for event parking rates or seek alternative, free parking for non-event use in one of the following lots:

• South of Duhme Residence Hall   
• On Russell Street between Fifth and Sixth Streets
• On Waldron Street between Fifth and Sixth Streets
