Purdue University prioritizes building relationships between government, academia and the defense industrial base. By working together, we can explore the synergies between organizations, including talent pipelines, defense focused research and opportunities for workforce development. The AI Organizational Transformation workshop guides Department of Defense learners in integrating AI into organizational management. It focuses on leveraging AI technologies to optimize business processes and improve efficiency.  Workshop outcomes: 

  • Equip organizations with strategies for AI adoption 
  • Help identify AI’s strengths and weaknesses 
  • Enable leaders to envision new AI-based solutions 
  • Introduce practical tools for scaling AI across sectors

Military Educational and Strategic Partnerships

Since January of 2023, Kelvin has led military educational and strategic partnerships for Purdue University. In this role he collaborates across the university to position Purdue as the Nation’s leading university provider of credentials that serves and advances the career readiness and professional development of military and civilian personnel. Kelvin is a native of San Juan, Puerto Rico and graduated from Stillwater High School in May 2000 (Oklahoma). Entering Enlisted Naval Service in August 2000, advancing to Chief Petty Officer in September 2013 and commissioned as a Chief Warrant Officer in June 2016. During his time in the U.S. Navy Kelvin supported and led at various levels and served onboard: Nuclear-powered aircraft carriers, an amphibious command ship, strike fighter and reconnaissance squadrons, and served on major staffs at the Pentagon, headquarters units across the Pacific theater, National Capital Region, and a Geographic Combatant Command. Kelvin retired from the U.S. Navy in January 2023 from Naval Education and Training Command where he served as the Staff Executive Officer and Director of Administration.
