What to Expect As an Online Boilermaker
We strive to keep the course layouts consistent and straightforward across all programs. Utilizing Brightspace learning platforms and asynchronous learning provides flexibility for working professionals. Each course is one-of-a-kind, but you’ll always be able to find what you’re looking for.
When enrolled in an online course, you will learn from experienced, supportive faculty and lecturers who teach on campus or are industry experts in their fields and are invested in your success.
Our flexible online programs and courses make it easy to fit your education into your schedule. Rolling admissions dates allow you to start your studies at multiple times throughout each year. Our Disability Resource Center can assist with any accommodations you need to navigate your learning.
Courses and programs from every discipline are continuously reviewed by instructional designers to ensure they are engaging, meaningful and relevant. We use high-powered data analytics and real-time student feedback to measure effectiveness and improve future courses.
Asynchronous learning happens on your timetable and has no set schedule. Typically, online courses offered by Purdue University are completely asynchronous and do not have specific dates and times required for virtual attendance.
You will be an active part of the Purdue community. From virtual town hall meetings to professional development workshops and networking opportunities, your connection to Purdue is on-demand and at your fingertips every day.
You may be part of a cohort of students in your specific program. This build-in support structure can create bridges to professional experiences and networking. With virtual tools such as Microsoft Teams, Brightspace, Zoom as well as in-person regional events, connect with your peers at any time.
