Creating a new type of computing that’s ‘naturally probabilistic’

Engineering platform offers collaborative cloud options for sustainable manufacturing

Shweta Singh, an assistant professor in Purdue’s College of Engineering, has developed a cloud-based platform aimed at mapping inter-industry dependence networks for materials and waste generation among manufacturers in sectors such as chemicals, pharmaceuticals and other industries tied to biobased economies.

Purdue professor awarded Multidisciplinary University Research Initiative funding from Department of Defense

Brett Savoie, the Charles Davidson Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering at Purdue, will lead one of 25 teams receiving Multidisciplinary University Research Initiative funding from the Department of Defense as part of the fiscal year 2021 competition.

Rewriting the book on the fluid mechanics of blood vessels

Using a combination of advanced fluid mechanics and solid mechanics, Purdue researchers have established a new generalized flow law for elastic microtubes like blood vessels.
