New 3D cell culture method points to personalized cancer therapies

Thanks to a new 3D cell culture technique developed by Purdue researchers, it may be possible to personalize cancer treatment by understanding the contributions of different cell types in a tumor to the cancer’s behavior.

Big data, machine learning shed light on Asian reforestation successes

Purdue’s Jingjing Liang, an assistant professor of quantitative forest ecology in the Department of Forestry and Natural Resources, found that efforts to plant trees in forests in South Korea and northeast China have paid dividends for increasing carbon storage.
