Appointments, honors and activities
- Howard Zelaznik, professor of health and kinesiology in the College of Health and Human Sciences’ Department of Health and Kinesiology, recently received the 2019 Distinguished Scholar Award from the North American Society for the Psychology of Sport and Physical Activity.
- Jennifer Dobbs-Oates, clinical associate professor in the College of Health and Human Sciences’ Department of Human Development and Family Studies, was the recipient of the National Society for Experiential Education’s 2019 Experiential Education Rising Leader.
- Tim Gavin, professor and department head of the Department of Health and Kinesiology, recently was elected a fellow by the National Academy of Kinesiology. Gavin was nominated for his work in the field of kinesiology, particularly in the area of understanding the role of acute and chronic exercise in modulating the concentration of vascular endothelial growth factor.
