Healthy Boiler workshop to focus on seeking self-care

Purdue’s multifaceted approach to overall health and wellness, which is carried forth via its Healthy Boiler Program, champions self-care as it encompasses all five of the Healthy Boiler pillars – behavioral health, financial wellness, physical health, social wellness and work-life integration. An upcoming Healthy Boiler workshop – “Seeking Self-Care” – dives more into self-care and how the five pillars play a role.
Led by Whitney Soto, RN health coach at the Center for Healthy Living on Purdue’s West Lafayette campus, the workshop will review the five Healthy Boiler pillars. Participants will discuss how to incorporate more self-care into their daily lives. The workshop will include opportunities for reflection as well as tips on stress, nutrition and physical activity.
The workshop takes place noon to 1 p.m. Sept. 21. Those interested should register by Sept. 20 via the Healthy Boiler Portal. The registration link can be found under the “Healthy Boiler Workshops” section on the portal’s homepage. Hover over “Seeking Self-Care” and hit “Submit” to register.
Healthy Boiler workshops are free to all benefits-eligible faculty and staff and dependents covered on a Purdue medical plan.
