Please make a reservation online. Please read the responsibilities that are included on the reservation form. The LCC offers the following spaces for reservation:
MARICELA ALVARADO LOUNGE
Named after the LCC inaugural director, the Maricela Alvarado lounge is the largest open space in the facility and may be used for meetings, lectures, receptions, or as classroom space. Accommodates approximately 20 people.
This room is great for smaller groups to meet. Accommodates 6 people as is and more chairs and tables can be made available to accommodate more people.
This room is equipped with a podium, television, VCR, DVD player, conference room table and dry erase board. Faculty and Staff may reserve this room as classroom space or to hold office hours. The space is also used for group meetings and/or study sessions. Accommodates approximately 11-13 people.
ITaP COMPUTER LAB
The LCC has wireless capabilities along with a three-station ITaP computer lab with a printer and a scanner. There is additional work space for small groups and personal laptop use. Accommodates approximately 8-10 people.
This community garden is full of vegetables, fruits and herbs that are used against food insecurity on Purdue's campus. Flowers meant to attract pollinators make up a part of the garden. Bring your food scraps (fruits/veggies) to our compost bin located outside the back entrance. The community is welcome to harvest on Thursdays from 11AM-1PM.
Thanks to a private donation, the LCC library collection surpasses 1,000 texts on Latin American and U.S. Latinx history, politics, culture, and literature. Search our collection here.
We understand that our students need to decompress, retreat and be mindful. Use one-person couch to get away for 10 minutes or a couple of hours. This space is semi-private.
Our kitchen is not ServSafe certified and, therefore, may not be used by the public. However, the LCC staff is ServSafe certified, which is useful if your organization would like to serve food at the LCC.
KOALA CHANGING STATION
Our restroom is family-friendly and includes a diaper changing station for your little one.
The LCC provides parking and ramp access to the facility. Additionally, the first floor provides an ADA ITaP computer and ADA restroom.
There is no parking at the LCC. Street parking on Waldron may be available. Nearby lots and garages may be available after 5PM (check signs).
