Gradescope

IDP offers a free scanning service for non-objective quizzes and examinations on the West Lafayette campus for use in Gradescope. Gradescope makes it possible to deliver free-response questions to large lecture courses. It helps instructors grade written assessments by decreasing grading time, creating consistency across exams by providing detailed rubrics, and providing statistical feedback.  IDP uploads scans directly into Gradescope with a high level of reliability, accuracy, and security.

Grades can be sent directly from Gradescope to Brightspace by using this integration document with additional information available on the tool page.

Our Guidelines for scanning explain the process and Instructors interested in using the Gradescope scanning service should contact IDP@purdue.edu to register their course.

Faculty and staff interested in Gradescope onboarding or help with Gradescope to Brightspace integration should email Teaching and Learning, tlt@purdue.edu while cc’ing Brad Crites (dbcrites@purdue.edu) or Tori Hart (vodea@purdue.edu).
