“News You Need to Know” brings important, Benefits-related information, promotions and reminders on a variety of topics. This month, learn more about upcoming Healthy Boiler workshops and behavioral health resources.

Behavioral health resources available for faculty, staff, students 

Behavioral health – one of the five pillars of the Healthy Boiler Program – plays a key role in overall employee well-being. The Mental Health Resources web page offers a variety of available resources for faculty and staff, including SupportLinc and LiveHealthOnline. 

Resources are also available for students.

Faculty and staff, who work with students or have a student at home, can direct them to the resources below for behavioral health assistance. Note: LiveHealth Online Psychology and LiveHealth Online Psychiatry services are also available to Purdue students who are covered on a Purdue health plan. Mental health visits through LiveHealth Online are covered at 100 percent on the Purdue student health plan.

Upcoming Healthy Boiler workshops

Getting active, cutting down on sugar, healthy hydration, asthma care for adults and more are topics of Healthy Boiler workshops being offered in the coming months. Healthy Boiler workshops are free to all benefits-eligible faculty and staff and dependents covered on a Purdue medical plan. Registration for workshops can be done via the Healthy Boiler Portal (unless otherwise noted). Registration link can be found under the “Healthy Boiler Workshops” section on the portal’s home page.
