Health, wellness facilities on West Lafayette campus also benefit social wellness

A great way to bond with others and make connections is by sharing health and wellness goals. At Purdue, employees are encouraged to come together to support one another, and Purdue’s on-site facilities make it easy and convenient to integrate exercise with friends and co-workers into your daily life, which in turn also benefits your social wellness.

Córdova Recreational Sports Center - CoRec  

The Co-Rec’s fitness space, includes two jogging and walking tracks. Basketball, racquet sports, meditation, swimming, volleyball, climbing and more are available inside the facility.

The Co-Rec also offers a locker room, showers, a sauna and day lockers that participants may keep their belongings in. There is on-site parking for A, B and C permits. Additional A and B permit spaces are available nearby.

A.H. Ismail Center

Located in Room 1130 of Purdue University’s Lyles-Porter Hall, the center offers exercise and assessment options including state-of-the-art Technogym cardio and strength equipment such as:

  • 6 treadmills
  • 3 upright bikes
  • 3 recline bikes
  • Concept II rowing machine
  • Dumbbells
  • Shoulder press
  • Leg extension
  • Hip abductor/adductor

The center’s Adult Fitness Studio offers a variety of group exercise programs including yoga, aerobics and more. Personal training is also available. In addition, assessment and consultation areas are a specialty of the center and are available in both open and private testing areas.

The Purdue bike path on Purdue’s West Lafayette campus offers opportunities to bike with friends.
