Healthy Boiler Challenges create opportunity for social wellness growth

Fun, customizable challenges, so you can create a wellness journey that’s meaningful to you is one part of the Healthy Boiler Program Portal. By inviting friends and co-workers to join you, you’re benefitting your social wellness, no matter which pillar a particular challenge supports. 

Each month, Healthy Boiler Challenges, one for each of the five Healthy Boiler pillars – are posted on the Healthy Boiler Portal (scroll to the bottom of the portal’s home page) for benefits-eligible employees and dependents covered on a Purdue medical plan to take part in individually and with friends and co-workers.

May Healthy Boiler Challenges are as follows:

  • Say your mission statement out loud each day – Behavioral Health
  • Compare Purdue-offered discounts on automotive and homeowners insurance coverage during May – Financial Wellness
  • Brave a morning icebreaker by taking 10 cold showers in the next 31 days – Physical Health
  • Give 25 sincere compliments to different people during the month of May – Social Wellness
  • Learn more about something you’re interested in for 500 minutes in May – Work-Life Integration

In addition, there’s an area to add “Personal” challenges and goals at the bottom of the Portal’s home page. Here you can create your own and invite friends to do the same.
