Rx Savings Solutions provides easy, comprehensive way to save money on prescription drugs

In 2020, benefits-eligible Purdue employees generated 10,960 prescription claims. In that same year, Purdue partnered with Rx Savings Solutions – in support of the financial wellness pillar of the Healthy Boiler Program – to provide employees and their dependents covered on a Purdue health plan an easy, comprehensive online prescription tool that shows them all of their opportunities to save money on their prescription drugs according to their Purdue health plan.

Representatives from Rx Savings Solutions present quarterly workshops, and the next one takes place from noon to 1 p.m. on June 8.

The thousands of prescription claims seen annually by Purdue employees offer opportunities for prescription drug savings, which according to Rx Savings Solutions data, are taking place.

Rx Savings Solutions supports multiple pillars of the Healthy Boiler Program. Depending on usage reasons, the partnership benefits behavioral health, financial wellness and/or physical health.

Via Rx Savings Solutions, benefits-eligible employees can:

• Quickly and easily see the lowest-price option for any prescription via their online portal
• Search to find pricing, savings suggestions and pharmacy options for any other prescription drugs via their online portal.  
• Access certified pharmacy technicians for personal and confidential assistance over the phone or via email.
• Keep their costs low for any prescription they or their family members need now or in the future.
• Receive notifications via email or text whenever new ways to save money on their prescription(s) are found – no effort required. Rx Savings Solutions automatically sends the notifications. In March 2021, 2,051 savings notifications were sent to members.
