Dr. Kathryn Orvis participated in the panel discussion titled “Urban Ag: Engaging Youth” during the Indiana Small Farm Conference. Joining her were fellow panelists Danielle Guerin from the Soul Food Indy Project and Aster Bekele from the Felege Hiywot Center. All panelists are NCR-SARE grant recipients.
Emmanuel Cooper and Jeanine Arana from the Meyers’ lab participated in the 11th Annual ABE Graduate Industry Research Symposium: “Advancing technology: From models to molecules, machines and more”. Emmanuel obtained 3rd place for his 3MT oral presentation and Jeanine obtained 2nd place for her oral presentation! Congratulations!
