Internship Opportunity – Social Media/Digital Marketing

Interning remotely with The Entrepreneur Authority and Veteran Franchise Centers.  If selected through a competitive process this experience fulfills a capstone requirement for the Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation.   • Veteran Franchise Centers (VFC) provides expert guidance and counseling to veterans and their direct family members who are exploring the possibility of franchise ownership through advanced and proprietary tools and award-winning processes.

Intern Description

The project for the intern will be Social Media/Digital Marketing Intern to attract and interact with targeted virtual communities.  The goal is to gradually achieve superior customer engagement and intimacy, website traffic and revenue by strategically exploiting all aspects of the social media marketing roadmap. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct primary research, write, and publish a twice weekly blog of approximately 500 words.
  • Conduct primary research, write and publish a 7200 character article once a quarter.
  • Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, and messaging and audience identification.
  • Generate, edit, publish and share almost-daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action.
  • Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content.
  • Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community.
  • Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules.
  • Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information.
  • Collaborate with other departments (Sr. Mgmt, Customer Relations, Sales, etc) to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions.

 

Preferred skills, abilities or qualities:

  • Proficiency in social media concepts and applications (required)
  • Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills (required)
  • Social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge (not required)
  • Adequate knowledge of web design, web development, CRO and SEO (not required)
  • Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels (required)
  • Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented  with good multitasking and organizational ability (required) /   / Fluency in English (required) /  / Field of Study in one of the following:   in Communications, Marketing, Business/Mgmt/Econ or Public Relations
