College of Health and Human Sciences and ENTR Senior Jennifer Booher is ready and excited for her future in Boston as a Business Development Consultant for Oracle. Jennifer has spent the past four years at Purdue preparing for this next step following her May 2020 graduation. Jennifer, a Carmel native, is majoring in Hospitality and Tourism Management with a concentration in Marketing and Sales, in addition to her completing the Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation program.

Jennifer is a Founding Member of the Purdue Chapter of Consult Your Community where she currently serves as a Business Analyst and VP of Engagements. The organization provides pro-bono consulting services to small businesses in the Greater Lafayette community. At Purdue, Jennifer has also served as Director of Recruiter Relations for the HTM Career Day Board, a Teaching Assistant for HTM and ENTR classes, a Boiler Gold Rush Team Leader and an Academic Mentor for the Purdue Men’s Basketball team.

Two of the largest takeaways Jennifer feels she has acquired from her time at Purdue are her strong networking skills and the development of her intrapreneurial mindset. She also believes her ENTR classes and projects have helped her develop a growth-mindset and how best to collaborate and work more effectively with a diverse team. Prior to my involvement in the program, I had not given much thought to the concept of innovation in business and how I could play a role in doing so throughout my future career endeavors. After discovering my passion for entrepreneurship and how I can use this passion to bring an intrapreneurial mindset to a company I work for, it made me realize how much I wanted to work for a future-focused and innovative company.”

As an Ambassador for the ENTR program, Jennifer has enjoyed sharing what she has learned at Purdue with prospective students. I love having the opportunity to represent a program I am so deeply passionate about and sharing my experiences with other students. From the classes to the incredible professors and staff, the ENTR Certificate program has completely changed my Purdue experience for the better.”

Jennifer Booher is a Boilermaker to watch as she transfers the skills gained from her Purdue education to her new career in Boston.
