As a section of the Purdue “All-American” Marching Band, the drumline captivates audiences at home football games, away games, and various travel opportunities.
Boiler Beats
The Boiler Beats operate primarily as a tailgate drumline, entertaining fans in the hours leading up to home football games. This ensemble also serves as a training ground for those that desire to continue to improve their skills. Participation in a fall concert ensemble may be required for placement in this group.
World’s Largest Drum
This approximately 10 foot tall, 104 year old icon of the university is operated by a crew of 7 to 8 people who perform athletic and acrobatic feats with the Drum.
