Congratulations to Dr. Pamela J. Nave for being recognized as the 2025 Helen B. Schleman Gold Medallion award winner!

This award was instated by the class of 1968 in partnership with that year’s class of Mortar Boarders, the Women’s Residence Council, Panhellenic, and Off-Campus Women, to commemorate the legacy of Dean Helen B. Schleman, who served as Dean of Women from 1947 to 1968. Dr. Nave has now joined the ranks of other deserving Purdue University faculty and administrators for her significant contribution to the advancement of women students and women’s issues.

As the Director of Percussion, Dr. Nave leads the Purdue Drumline, Boiler Beats Drumline, the World’s Largest Drum Crew, the Percussion Ensemble, and helps support the percussionists in many other ensembles throughout the organization. She is known for being direct, passionate, and caring, while fostering a creative and fun environment for the students she teaches. We are grateful for her expertise and commitment to student success!
